The first memory this banescale has is of light: The warm yet dangerous glow of magma flowing into the egg chamber, and the bright, welcoming sunlight filtering in through cracks in the ceiling. They remember flying towards the second light, surrounded by hundreds of others, all flying up, towards freedom. They remember finally breaking free, suddenly overwhelmed by light, by fresh air, by the sounds of life. And then remember flying even more, until the sounds of life grew loudest. Until all they could hear were plants rustling, roars and snarls and purrs of creatures hidden within thick foliage. And the sight of it all! Deep greens speckles with a rainbow of colors from flowering plants, all dappled with light filtering in through the tree canopy.

They had found the Viridian Labyrinth, far from the flame of their homeland, but still home.

(I noticed they're unnamed, so if you need any suggestions I'd recommend Astera, Taken from Asteraceae, the sunflower family)
