"I've seen enough battles to last a lifetime, little one."
Banescales rose from the earth in the form of eggs, children of warriors that were long forgotten. Odyssey was not one of those children, years after the Banescales got a foothold and spread across Sornieth, one rose from his grave. Odyssey as battled scared, withering, and only knew two things, his name, and his killers.
Odyssey would travel for many many years, finding Gaoler after Gaoler, wanting to punish them for killing his people, but he couldn't strike any of them. Odyssey knew that all the Gaolers he saw were innocent and they shouldn't be punished for the actions of others. Odyssey would search and search, until one day, flying across the skies dotted with dragons of all kinds, Odyssey realized something. A second chance at a life he lost should not be thrown away, it didn't matter who slew him, what mattered is how he lived this new one.
Now Odyssey raises the hatchlings and tells them stories about the times of his travels and of the past.

Odyssey is hundreds of years old, and can remember each and every face that he's ever saw. It makes it easier for him to recognize dragons.
He's really loved by the fire dragons, arcane dragons, and plague dragons. Fire because he's a literal piece of history, arcane because of the magic he must've possessed to come back to life, and plague because he's proof that not all things that used to be dead and came back to life are zombies.
