CIRCE
WARRIOR || HEIR APPARENT || SENTINEL

Age: Young Adult | Pronouns: She/Her

By all accounts, Circe was never first in line to follow in her father’s footsteps. But Circe took up the mantle when her elder sister, Koi, showed little interest in leadership. She considers it her calling, with the Gladekeeper’s blessing gifted to her in Circe’s gaze, and spent most of her youth training to become the next guardian of Autumna Woods and its clan. However, she still has much to learn, often prioritizing the clan’s needs even to her detriment, and even worse often refuses to ask for help even when she needs it. Circe also strives to be an accomplished warrior, believing most of the tales told of her parent’s exploits to be exaggerated.

Due to her dedication to being the clan’s next leader, Circe is sometimes at odds with her peers. She prefers to stick to her parents and their advisors, and will look for ways to get out of events or gatherings where the young adult dragons decide to congregate. Despite this, many of the younger dragons come to Circe for guidance and mediation with tiny spats between themselves, giving her an opportunity to practice being a leader, and giving them an opportunity to socialize with her.

AESOP
Father

Circe deeply admires her father for his knowledge and level-headed approach to most problems. When she was a hatchling, she often accompanied him on his various duties as chieftain, instilling in her a dedicated work ethic. However, now she views that her father may have a too relaxed leadership style, allowing all types into the clan despite their backgrounds and intentions. She trusts him, for now, but fears that there will be a day when Aesop’s generosity will bring harm to the clan and forest that she calls home.

MISHAP
Mother

Circe and her mother have a cordial, if not cool, relationship. Circe’s attachment to her father often meant less interaction with Mishap, who found it difficult to connect with her daughter. While Circe wishes her mother had a more active role in clan politics, she understands Mishap’s distaste for it and does her best to replace her mother during important council meetings and events. However, Circe will still seek Mishap’s advice, especially regarding Aesop, and Mishap takes quiet pride in that when her robust and capable daughter still needs her mother’s help occasionally.

BANNOTH
Love Interest

Ever since Circe found Bannoth bleeding out in the swamps, she was drawn to him. At first, she assumed it was because for once, she felt like she had helped someone, and changed their life for the better. Now that enough time has passed, Circe realizes that his cool, aloof exterior hides someone exciting, with experiences to share. She’s not sure what baggage he carries, but she’s certain she wants to carry it with him, and persists in trying to make her intentions known. The only thing that has stopped her from entirely confessing her feelings is the fact that Bannoth will occasionally pull away from her, and that’s enough to give her pause.
