Iota

Part I, Iota the Bloodstained Bandit

Iota is a fearsome dragon who has lived a long time. You wouldn't know it though since he looks like a young pearl catcher. He didn't spend all that time being a good dragon though. He stole, lied, murdered, and other bad deeds. He's become a kind of dragon who the gods would spit on if they could. He was born like this, raised by dragons who snatched him from his nest. They were dragons who forced Iota to call them Mother and Father. They raised him from a young age how to hunt, scavenge, and murder. Things they made all seem perfectly normal to the hatchling. He didn't know much better and didn't care to. Even if he had cared at one point, that was long forgotten. He grew into a fine outlaw under Father and Mother. When the time came for his graduation from them he didn't hesitate. To Iota's false parents, killing them was his final test. As he finished disposing of them, he left.

Thievery was next to learn, and Iota was a quick learner. He was able to go from pickpocketing from dragons on their way to the auction house to those that were even other thieves. He never was once caught, always slipping away right before a dragon caught him, looking as if a gust of wind blew by. He was rather proud of this skill, having no one to teach him. He used his earnings to buy the equipment he'd use as he grew up. He became an assassin, finding the thrilling fun. He loved when his prey wouldn't go down easily but instead put up a fight. When a dragon begged for their life was another thing that filled Iota with glee. He'd sometimes even pretend to let them go, but killing them as they left.

He earned his name as the Bloodsoaked Bandit doing things like this. Most bodies he'd leave behind had all their items stolen, no prints left. He was hunted by the law, but none seemed able to catch him. He'd avoid them as easy as breathing. None seemed to realize he was often among them more often than not. Stealing a disguise from a victim and sneaking in was very easy for him. There was only once when he was almost caught when one dragon who had been on his tail since the beginning spotted him. That bounty hunter had been one of the only victims to get away after seeing his face. Fortunately for Iota, he managed to get that dragon before he fully revealed Iota to the fellow hunters.

The only deal Iota made that seemed to hurt him was trading something valuable of his to a demon to gain eternal life. A deal that, at first, seemed worth it. He looked like a young dragon for this but seemed to regret it. In his pursuit of the demon, he found his way to Hades. For the first time ever, Iota was fearful. Sure, he was a murderer and con artist, but the beings here were demons, ghosts, and dangerous beings. To secure a safe spot he chose to become a member, making Freakshow's swirling eyes stop threatening him. He's since been plotting ways to at least move up in rank. He interestingly can't use magic, the thing he actually sold to the demon to become alive and young forever.
