Species Lore: Magic is a dangerous and unwieldy force, one that has been seen to give life for better or worse to many creatures, and accidents are prone to happen. These dragons appear when a mage loses control and containment of a spell. Beings of pure energy they begin the first few hours of their life as solid white and as the magic leaks from them to shimmer below the surface of their wings and mane their extremities turn pitch black. Some mages will attempt to stabilize the constructs which causes them to become fractured and develop deep black cracks in their skin where the magic has dispersed.

Pearlcatcher Lore: Born of hubris and over confidence these dragons are haughty in nature and are the embodiment of the arrogance that brought them to being. Often swift tongued, quick witted and eager to argue they are surprisingly social creatures and often called on to settle debates - a mixed blessing.

Spiral Lore: At times it's not over confidence that causes a spell to backfire but zeel, eagerness, and rushed preparation. The results are less of a construct or anything solid and more of an explosion of energy resulting in a writhing mass darting around the room to eventually come together to form these Spirals.
