you walk through a cluster of trees in near pitch darkness, not knowing what the other side holds. branches and leaves crunch under your feet as you struggle to find your direction. a small orb glows and dashes away from you, zipping past the shrubbery and out of your sight. you decide to follow it and managed to get yourself out of the thick foliage. relieved and in awe, you are greeted with the open night sky containing a shower of speckled stars guiding the way. an illuminated path glows bright pink, occasionally fading and lighting up softly.
you step on each stone of the path carefully, as there is water flowing right beneath you. you bend down and cup your hands to fill them with crystal clear water, observing its reflection of the moon, then allow the water to gradually escape your grasp. getting back up again, you continue your journey and arrive at a stunning circular platform surrounded by trees with fluffy white leaves. petals glide across the stone paths and drop like feathers, floating contently on the surface of the water.

"well hello there! who must you be?"
startled, you turn around and see a small veilspun swarmed by bioluminescent fireflies, its eyes glowing brighter than all the stone paths combined.
‌‌
"um... I'm o-only here to visit," you respond hesitantly, taking the time to look around and fully absorb your surroundings. "where am I?"
‌‌
he chuckles softly. "my name's lumios! and welcome to my humble stand." he gestures to the small table equipped with several glass jars and a string of lightbulbs hanging directly on top.
‌‌
you stare at the jars and frown. "what's supposed to be special about these? I've already seen them everywhere in sornieth, they're worth practically nothing!"
‌‌
he looks at you curiously, seemingly not bothered by your negative reaction. there is silence between the two of you, until lumios speaks once more

"read the sign, and t‌‌ell me if you're interested then."
‌‌
you look at lumios confused, but oblige nonetheless. you take another glance at the stand and realize there was a neatly placed sign that your eyes previously skipped over. it read:

"WILL TRADE A FIREFLY JAR FOR ANY WISH OF MINE SERVED"
a scroll of paper rests on the table next to the glass jars. you grin, looking back at the colorful veilspun.
