Biography

ONYX
"But in this twilight, our choices seal our fate"

tumblr_inline_nirti0UZyg1rwdj8f.png
The ever observant violet eye of a black Nocturne watches over the bustling inn amidst the Lunae Lapidae’s lands. The sarcastic and witty Onyx serves, often, as the first face and name dragons learn upon visiting or entering the clan’s ranks. She will, most of the time, be one of the first dragons that serves to help newcomers settle down, or at the very least bring them to the attention of the royal family. Despite coming to the clan in her own youth, and starting up the bustling business that is The Reaper’s Rest, Onyx is not the most social dragon herself, as many don’t fancy putting up with the lady’s barbed and sometimes harsh words. Despite this reputation, older members of the clan, or those who have endeared themselves to the prickly Nocturne, such as the scribe Ondri, or the Tea shop’s owner, Sulfur, know Onyx to be a surprisingly kindhearted individual who secretly frets over whichever newcomer is the Nocturne’s newest “stray”.

In terms of her own personal relationships, the dark Nocturne seemingly has a rather rocky relationship with her husband, Hematite, and is often seen chasing her husband out of her inn. However, this couldn’t be farther from the fact currently. In the past, yes, she absolutely despised the impulsive, arrogant plague dragon, only tolerating him as long as he could actually pay his tab for once. Eventually however, the annoying rogue would grow on her somewhat….Onyx only realizing how deeply the other Nocturne cared for her after he risked life and limb to safe her from what would have been certain doom during the fateful maelstrom that ripped across the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Not long after that, Onyx actually humored Hematite with a date….which quickly turned into many….and then to her surprise, she found herself essentially married to the chaotic ambassador, and the mother of a small gaggle of nocturne children. Only one of which, her eldest son, Reyes, currently remains in the growing clan as one of the clan’s protectors, serving among the other Watchers.
