You remember your mother's tales about The Shifting Expanse and all it's dangers. You also remember that's where she saved you from. a monastery. To the gods. Disgusting. You have trained with your mothers second and with your brother. And now you can go back there. While they are talking on basic survival so you can't be spotted or die before you can do your jobs, you sneak out. You other plans of your own. You remember where your mother said she got you from. Recalling those stories you follow the map they have made for you in your mind. You wish to save your brothers and sisters from there.

You finally get there, you walk in calmly. They do not notice you as a threat. They welcome you. You ask to see the children. They lead you to them. How horrible, there must be around 20 of them in one small room! You look around seeing only the dragon that guided you here. You quickly grab one of your kin, for it matters not anymore. You both suffered here. Blood matters not. You slash the dragon's face dashing out. Realizing you will not be as lucky as your mother you jump out one of the stained windows in the hallway. You fly with glass digging into your wings.

You feel yourself falling out of the sky and get covered by darkness and later you awaken but you are not yourself anymore.

You feel the darkness ooze out of you, you check the child. He is safe and unharmed. You go you fly to brother and your teacher, but it hurts so much and the darkness bleeds. Once you are there you can not feel your wings anymore. And they run from you. But your brother comes back and takes you to Impadine. She takes care of you and your new brother is taken to be cared for with the other 3 hatchlings with the guardian. "This is a good ending"

You awake with the worried faces of Impadine, your brother, and your mother over you. You can feel it now. The pain it is everywhere, but the darkness covers it. They can't see the pain anymore.
"Is it true?" the whisper comes from your mother Creme.
"Yes, it could be nothing else. She is lucky to live." Another but from Impadine.
They notice i am awake now.
"Are you okay? Do you know what happened?" pipes my brother.
I try to speak but my throat closes before i could all i could do was shake my head.

"We couldn't save your wings nor could we save you from The Shade"
