Biography

Links to other dragons' pages which have significant or completed Biographies are bolded. Links to other dragons' pages which either have no or minimal Biographies or are mostly direct copies of the Biography which links to them are not bolded. Links to a tab such as a race's tab are unbolded but italicized. Most Biographies refer to The Great Exodus, an apocalypse-borne event summarized on the first lair tab's Description.
Formerly one of the eleven Firstborn gods (informally called the Elementalkin) of the clan's world of origin and one of only four whose original forms and identities remained completely intact up until the events directly surrounding the Reunification, the rebirth of the former singular sum of their consciousnesses and energies, Eldanareth. Following that event in which most Elementalkin and Lesser Elementalkin either voluntarily or forcibly lost their identities (and therefore effectively their lives), Nalaira'tel (whose true name is Nala'telairalath) was the only survivor. Her identity was concealed to all but the gods themselves with no exceptions until the Great Exodus which found them beginning new lives here on Sornieth. Those that survived the Great Exodus have mostly lost their motivations for things which used to have great importance such as rivalries and the keeping of secrets, although as many cultural traditions have survived as has been possible.
Nalaira'tel's secret was perhaps the greatest in all the world, as she has spent all of her life since the Cireln peoples' birth living as one of them, explaining her obvious immortality as being the ultimate gift of the gods, the bestowing of the title of Eternal which is a descriptor not far from the truth. Only five have ever been bestowed that blessing and of those only three far outlived their kinds' natural lifespan: Senaea, Glasdaea and Levneralis.
Senaea was the king of all elvenkind (including the Cireln) though outside of crises requiring collaborations he only truly oversaw one of the two groups of traditional elves. His people are in a somewhat-unofficial capacity called the light elves due to his title, 'Lightlord', and only when the distinction needs made between those who chose to travel to the far northern plains with him and those who chose to remain in the woodlands just to the south with Glasdaea, known in title by 'Veilspeaker' for her rumored ability to commune with the god of the mist-shrouded woods, the unofficial matron deity of all traditional elves, Leriasanth the Lifesong.
Leriasanth is a second generation remnant of the Firstborn god Veldru'sartaxaleth (note: The dragon is improperly named Veldru'saraleth because the proper spelling surpassed the character limit and her official shortened name is Veldrusara. The dragon by that name is out-of-character-wise one of the clan's custom progenitors (for obvious reasons), with its other custom progenitor being its in-character one: Enthelon.) whose dominion is believed to be the driving force of life energy ('Nature', in short.). The only other god to have so openly have given favor to elvenkind was Hrenvelaith, a rare true god (as opposed to a Flamekin, the term for the vast majority of the direct intentional creations of gods) created by a Firstborn sacrificing a portion of their life energy to create another sentient being with all qualities of a remnant (a Lesser Elementalkin).
Created by Aldrovan'rekath, the Firstborn whose dominion was rocks, soil, metals and minerals, Hrenvelaith was not a gift to the elves out of goodwill but of Aldrovan'rekath's conscious desire to remove the bulk of his own empathy for humans and elves, viewing such feelings as dangerous and realizing by the time of Hrenvelaith's creation that if he did not attempt to remove those feelings from himself and give them form by intent and design he would succumb to "death" as most other Firstborn had by then already, a sad fate caused by internal conflict, whatever that conflict may be.
He was correct to believe such action to be a possible way to preserve his original identity while ending the war within his mind and for it he and the Firstborn gods Anor'thalistoth (air and sky) and Nalaira'tel (Nala'telairalath, non-living forms of energy such as lightning and fire yet not including the element of heat itself) managed to live to see the Reunification. While Anor'thalistoth also shed his empathy toward mankind in all its forms to create the god Shyvon'veloth, Nala'telairalath created Neltarazeth, representing rather than her fondness for mankind instead her disdain for their occasional callous disregard for the sanctity of life and the disrespect it showed for the gifts the Firstborn had once given them freely. She was glad to be rid of that unwanted scorn and now laments only that it almost saw Enthelon slain before the Reunification was complete which could have potentially caused it to fail and lead to disasters worse than what actually occurred---difficult as it might be to imagine what those could have been if not the outright death of all, seeing as the end of their universe would be tough to outshine in terms of level of catastrophe.
Nala'telairalath has been regarded by both mankind and the gods alike as the second most benevolent and wise after Reivaszj'oralith, though all gods to survive the final stage of the Reunification would have admitted, had their been a point to such a ranking, that perhaps she was always the most wise of all. That was in considering that her grief at the early stages of mankind's more 'modern' history had not consumed her identity (and therefore her life) as it had Reivaszj'oralith's who could not bear the tragedy of it and was, in fact, the first of the Firstborn to die and divide into the first 'Lesser Elementalkin', more commonly known as second generation gods.
Decorum and the ability to cope with any situation even while not suppressing, denying or disowning her unsurpassable fondness for mankind could have been her 'element of dominion' just the same as energy is if qualities of character were the gods' true forms in the way that all aspects of perceived tangible reality were. As such, her advisements regarding how best to approach most issues that have arisen for the clan since arriving in Sornieth are taken as weighing a little more than anyone else's. Had she more a taste for any kind of leadership, she undoubtedly would be holding the position of the clan's leader.
She has created more Flamekin (servants acting as gods' eyes and ears even if they are unaware of what they are) than any other god. Their names are Eima (pronounced Ee-ma), Naiame (Nigh-uh-may), Zmeyrin, Cryel, Cryair, Shaltiair (Shal-tee-air), Tanabryn and Serelis. Tanabryn and Serelis are capable of taking humanoid forms, a rare trait in Flamekin, though they almost always maintain the form of korilants: large highly intelligent beasts vaguely resembling foxes by their shared characteristics. Korilants have them all but many additional characteristics besides. They are used as mounts and hunters' companions in Cireln society thus Tanabryn and Serelis take this form as the only disguise which would allow them to accompany their master and creator in a public day-to-day way. As a result of their constant companionship to her over the Ages, Nalaira'tel is one of only two gods to truly have known the feeling of being a parent as she regards the two of them as not only her children but her dearest friends.
