A curious and quiet fellow, usually immersed in a book by the fire, Torchlight is a great companion for many people. He has accumulated lots of knowledge as he is the caretaker of the largest, yet not well-known library. He rarely gets visitors to the vast library, but he doesn’t mind. Less people means less noise. However, he does enjoy the occasional visitor and chat.

Rarely does he travel, but when he does he enjoys learning about various cultures and histories. On the excursions, he looks for antiques or knowledge to put into the library. He often visits cities and towns during festivals.

If you ever wanted to win over this dragon, gifts of candles or lanterns are the way to do it. The only thing he loves better than accumulating knowledge, it’s lighting. He will spend hours hanging up lanterns and lighting candles to get the perfect aesthetic for the library (while still being bright enough to read.) He especially loves scented kinds. If you were to gift him some, he sniff each one and tell you what scents they are without looking. He loves scent so much that he often smells other objects to tell their quality (he’s scarily accurate.)

He doesn’t actually live in the kingdom of Everwatch. He lives outside of it, in neutral territories. Treaties have been signed there and actually are stored within the archives of his library. Despite this, he often visits Everwatch to visit their libraries as, out of all the kingdoms, they have the most focus on scholarly-ness. Some other kingdoms and territories have taken this the wrong way and think that the true-neutral ‘territory’ is siding with one side, when really, he just wants books and candle and he gotta get it from somewhere.
