Pottery doesn't remember her creation. However, sometimes, when she strains, she can remember sure claws, stroking her tail into shape, the feeling of joints being made slowly, methodically. She can remember the feeling of heat licking at her form. She can remember steady claws fitting her together, and she remembers the smell of paint as a brush gave her swirling, interconnecting patterns.

She doesn't strain all that often.

What she does remember, clear as her own glaze, is the feeling of magic crackling through her hollow limbs. She remember it filling her, and filling her, and filling her until she felt that she would crack from the inside. She remembers looking up at a face and somehow recognizing it as the owner of the magic settling in her hollows and joints.

She doesn't try to remember this part, either.

What she does try to remember is the knife that was pressed into her hand and using it as a conduit for her power. The feeling of reading- the feeling of understanding- the feeling of magic flowing out from her body and directing it.

She desperately clings to the feeling of being in control.
