"Hello Mother, Father! I've traveled from sea to sky and learned much on my journey. I've met so many others...like me and unlike me. The Matriarch Diantha was kind to take me in, and was adamant I return home to my roots. She's a firm believer in keeping up relations with neighboring flights, and exchanging knowledge to better both. I was placed in the brooding lair along with many other beautiful dragons -- it was an honor to be chosen for the Colorguard. I and my mate -- ah, yes, I'll introduce him in a moment -- were the only ones placed in the orange group. It's incredible to be given such a high status. Perihelion was here before me, and originally, when searching for his mate, I was not selected. However, being both in the orange group, we became fast friends, and bonded quickly. I have seen many others come and go, and yet it was never unnerving. We all knew they were just returning home! It was sad to see some go, as I made friends with a beautiful female imperial named Illona. Her mate was also a golden imperial, but they weren't exactly what Diantha was looking for. The male, Gor, I believe his name was, left on his own accord. He wanted to see if his progeny could be used elsewhere, while Illona stayed. We kept each other company for a good while, before she took leave of Wind territory as well. I hope to see her again someday! We were all well taken care of."

"Perihelion is kind, reliable, and soft spoken. He's such a handsome drake, I can't believe how lucky I was to be informed Lady Diantha approved of our bonding. Even if she hadn't, she would have sent us away together anyway. She's a lot more laissez-faire than she looks. I adore simply being around him. I'm incredibly excited for our first clutch...and incredibly nervous! Perihelion reassures me that everything will be just fine. It's his first time too, so I'm sure he's just saving face! I think what I love most about him is his gentle churring laugh. He sounds just like an owl hooting, and it's infectious, and warms my heart. I can't wait for you all to meet him. I'm hoping for a large clutch...even for first time mother, I already feel the maternal urges guiding me. I want my hatchlings to explore the world and meet others, just like I have."

"Three eggs! Oh, I'm trembling with excitement. I've heard that the more you are destined to be with your mate, the more eggs you'll have. This is such a good omen. I've been in such a tizzy over it, I've mistaken my own pearl for an egg once! Three eggs....three whole, healthy eggs!"

"It's nice to be able to spend time with Peri like this, just taking turns incubating them, and bringing food back to the brooding den. I can't help but wonder what they'll look like...will they all be Skydancers? Pearlcatchers? WIll they have their mother or fathers colors? So many questions..."

"They've hatched! Oh blessed Tidelord, they've hatched! One male, and two females. All Pearlcatchers. I'm exhausted from the hatching, but they're all eating well, and seem to be moving around just fine. Two of them do look a little small, though, but I'm sure I'm just imagining it. "

"Only one female has grown at all since the hatching. I'm getting worried."

"Peri and I have spoken to both Diantha and Sunfire, the clan's prophet. She says that even their best healers wouldn't have the means to cure two of my precious babies. They say it's best to go ahead with the naming ceremony early."

"Eurus, the emissary of the Windsinger himself, has come to visit the little ones. He's so enormous, and it still alarms me how large Imperials get. He's christened them Paradise for the male and Halcyon for the female. He wishes to take them with him to the Windsinger himself. He tells us that they may not be able to survive in the clan, but in the realm of the deity, they'll have an easier life, and never have to learn to fend for themselves. He tells us it's the absolute highest honor for any of Cloudbow's hatchlings."

"They left with Eurus today. Everyone made them wreathes of sweet flowers, and Skysinger herself made them beautiful draperies and chimes for their journey. It's so wonderful to see everyone come together to help us, near strangers in comparison to those who've been here for so long...but I can't stop crying long enough to thank them."

"At least I have the one left. I will protect her at all costs...my baby daughter. I'm almost too scared to name her..."

"The nest is so...empty. I remember all the constant rustling and snuffling about, the chirping and squeaking....and now it's only her."
