Dance magic dance.
Dance like a candle in the wind. It flickers with the smallest of breaths, weaving smoke and magic through the air like a serpent. A serpent of life, death, and everything in between, and there is so very much in between.
It is the taken for granted moment, a laugh, a smile, a tear rolling down the cheek. It is the time when it feels like you can't catch your breath, your brain is going to explode, your heart is going to break. The long forgotten romance, the simple joy of finding shapes in the clouds, the laughter of a baby, it is all these things and more.
It's magic.
For ages, magic has involved candles. There are as many spells as there are letters and symbols one can carve or paint into the wax. Spells meant to drive people mad with lust, or wither with the rot of death. Some candles are imbued with so much magic, the owner is hesitate to light the wick for the first time. The first light is always the most powerful.
Do you dare to light the fire of the candle yourself? Fan the flames of a spell unknown? Will you reap the benefits, or wallow in despair? Will you take a chance and light the magic candle for the first time?
Light it, or don't. It's your choice. It's always been your choice. That's what magic is.
