Witness 3: Sedna

Sedna is a tundra dragon with a strong love for her egg parents, even though she's never met them. She hatched from an egg that had been abandoned somewhere in the Cloudscape Crags, and was raised by a clan of assorted outcasts. As such, she's never really had strong ties to any particular groups of tundra dragons, which has made it a little hard for her to navigate the closely-knit clans of her species.

Since she is so accustomed to the smells of other species, though she doesn't quite remember why that is, she is always willing to help dragons visiting the Fortress of Ends. She doesn't quite have a job, or a clan, but she's allowed to go where she wants inside the Fortress. Even if she did get into something, it's not like she'd remember it a few days later, so there's really no harm.

The Fortress of Ends smells like home, but the gaolers that patrol its corridors have never quite smelled like safety, although Sedna can't remember why. She knows that she didn't always live in the Fortress, and there's always something comforting about high, rocky places blanketed with snow and the raging wind that is always tearing around them. At some point, she knows, she had people that smelled like family around her, and she doesn't anymore.

There's apparently been a theft in the Fortress, though, in the week leading up to the Crystalline Gala. Sedna has been told by the dragons in the area that she'll have fun at the Gala this year, because she always has before, and that a lot of the visiting dragons will smell like friendship. In order for her to figure out if that's true, the crowns must be back where they belong.

All they have to go on so far is the crowns' last known location, and Sedna can't remember where she was last night...
