"Can we please not wreck the ship this time?"
About: He grew up in a small house on the edge of a great city, in a shack that had nothing but a roof and four walls. Scaldren lived with parents who had no time to give him love in between their fights. His large family never had enough food, and as the youngest of his siblings, Scaldren had to resort to thievery and begging to survive. Despite this, he couldn’t help but love his family. . One night, there was a riot among the peasants and farmers of the city. Scaldren’s parents and siblings were swept up in the masses and he was left behind to watch as dragons many times his size trampled over his only home. . He waited for days, months, almost a year for them to return. No one ever did. . Scaldren forced himself to keep moving, to keep moving forward and not backward. There were other things out there for him, and all he had to do was be brave enough to keep moving. But there was no life for him near his city, a place full of memories, most bad. Scaldren struck out to wherever the winds took him.. . Scaldren met Chica and Cyra when he was flying over the Shifting Expanse. These two only caught his eye because of what they were next to: the wreckage of a ship. He flew down and brusquely asked them what they were doing. Scaldren was entranced by their project and stayed to help, eventually taking Chica as his mate. . As more and more dragons joined the crew, Scaldren began to feel uncomfortable able around the large numbers. He spent time wandering the desert and studying the stars. When the ship took to the air, Scaldren was appointed navigator and now guides the ship across the land with the help of his beloved stars. . The only thing he makes sure of as navigator is that The Steel Talon never ventures near his old home.
