Born into a group named the Dragons of Death, Shinigami was never able to live a "normal life" though she didn't really mind that. Her family were the keeper of Souls, the Undertakers, and she was raised to follow in their footsteps. Like the others in her family she enjoyed her job but unlike the others she had a desire to see the world, disliking being stuck in the same place doing the same things day after day.

When Shinigami finally left do explore she discovered that the world was not always as amazing as it seemed. Other dragons feared her due to her scary appearance. In result Shinigami found it very hard to make friends or find a new home for herself. All the dragons she met would run away in fear, she had never felt more alone in her life. Right before she was ready to return home she came across another dragon who looked like her; Abraxas. He told her about Septic's Clan, where everyone was welcomed and Shinigami flew there with him and discovered that the story was true.

Now she stays with Septic's Clan, keeping close with Abraxas while helping Septic keep records of the dragons who have come and gone from their Clan.
This list of records can be found on Abraxas, since he is better at keeping track of items than Shinigami.
