B I O G R A P H Y

______ Prince walked along the cold cobblestone path, keeping his head tilted slightly downward to watch his steps. It was snowing that night, and he’d always subject himself to this. No matter the weather, he’d meticulously follow the same worn cobble paths until his legs gave out. He really had no regard for his own physical or mental health. But why was he like this? Why would he do the same repetitive action over and over again? In his eyes, this was his punishment.
______ He knew what he really was. He had only been born because of his parents wanting a perfect child. He was a subspecies. And so he had been born with no real say in the matter. He just had to learn to be what they expected of him, though he never vocalized his discomfort with being alive. He had a sister with whom he grew up with for a little while, though when it was time for Prince to finally leave home, he never felt so relieved.
______ It wasn’t that he hated his parents, it was just that he wished he meant more to them instead of being their trophy. He excelled at everything he was supposed to be good at, he was as smart as they had wanted him to be, he was almost like their ‘Chosen One.’ But what did any of this amount to? Who was he really if all his life, he had built himself with his parent’s expectations in mind? Was he even his own anymore?
______ Other dragons have said that since Prince left his home, he’d become as cold as ice. He’d always say that there was no real reason to talk to anyone, and push away any help that others had sent him. He wants to be alone, most likely to try and heal his heart. Nobody knew when or how Prince made it to a different clan, but even with the warm welcomes he’d received, he still preferred to be left alone. Perhaps he’d get along with someone like Cosmos in this regard.
