Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... and when Elixia looks at herself, all she sees is beauty. When she was hatched, much was made of her beautiful coloring and structure. Unfortunately for others, no one balanced the praise much with the idea that even though she was beautiful Elixia was not the center of the universe.

After several incidents of losing friends and family because of her hyper focus on herself, Elixia was beginning to be very lonely. She was wonderful company, but it was hard to enjoy herself if no one else was around to provide an audience. It took a while, but the dragon figured out that she had to make sure she had something concrete to offer, rather than just dazzling people with her grace and beauty.

In search of something important, Elixia ended up studying alchemy and medicine. While the shadow dragon teacher she'd found was more focused on brewing potions for pranks, Elixia took to healing as if she were born to do it. Her potions, balms, salves, etc. are highly prized not only by her clan but by those they trade with. Because of this, the others are more willing to deal with listening to Elixia prattle on about herself; hence, a balance is struck and all sides are much happier.
