Biography

The Grand Scholar of the clan is never born...
They are always Created...

Vienna came into the Librinic Keep, a weary traveler from a light clan far off. A young imperial with a thirst for knowledge rivaling that of a typical Arcane dragon. She was welcomed into the Keep by the late Keeper, Leyah, and easily melded into the group.

They told me about the Shrine on my first day. I could see it up on the hill, the opal structure glinting in the dimmed light that always shone over the Arcane lands. It made me curious, awoke a thirst for knowledge in me so deep that it was all I could do to keep myself from flying up there immediately. The Keep regards it as a holy place, and only allows members of the Keep up there to visit it. While I was considered a part of the group at that time, I felt it slightly inappropriate to launch away from the chatter, away from the members of the Keep taking their turns to greet me and hide myself away in its precious walls to seek its wonders.

After some time, Skye, one of the elder skydancers of the Keep came to me and motioned his head to the hill. "This is the real reason you are here, is it not?"

"I believe so," I replied. As I spoke the words, I knew they were true, and the pull that guided me here responded in kind with a tug towards the shrine. "I think... I need to go up there now."

Sky nodded and shuffled. He sighed, melodic like most of his kind. "Be cautious. The spirit that resides there does not take fondly to outsiders. It rejected me, as you can plainly see." He lifted his right front leg to show me. I could not help but gasp. His legs -- all of them -- were coated in what looked like ice. "For my insolence, it bound me in ice, and I have been deprived of flight ever since. The Keep has kept me out of pity, I think, yet their kindness is what sustains me. I seek a way to remove this curse, however, I believe that the answer lies with the spirit and the spirit alone.

"Go. Ignore the apprehension you feel. Destiny awaits in that shrine, and you must meet it there."
