Amalthea

Hello again! Putting Eydis butterfly on Amalthea’s profile for exactly that reason was almost enough to make me cry. I may have already told you how sentimental I am about that movie and book. One of my closest cousins (I lived with her family for a bit so we were also like sisters only a year apart for some of it) and I grew up with that movie as one of our favourites, playing out many related adventures. It is also the first book I ever read to my son while he was in the womb, finished after he was born.

I am honored to have Eydis’ little butterfly badge play symbol to the butterfly in that story and exist alongside your beautiful Amalthea <3<3<3

And she really is one of the best Amaltheas on site. I couldn’t begin to tell you which star # I am for her since she was given my star long before now.

when i tell you the ASTONISHMENT i felt when i saw a reference to my favorite childhood movie that i thought was a fever dream until last year when i watched it again....thank you for this throwback.

I only recently got around to watching this movie, but it was so good! I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. This gal is so lovely and really pays homage to her namesake.

I'm going with Amalthea this time! I just now noticed how literally perfect she is: the pale and elegant appearance, the mysterious glimmers of her wings, the well chosen outfit - and even the eyes are perfect! She is also the first dragon Ringlets actually looks fabulous on. Also, I'm not sure if this is intended, but I love the fact that her familiar unicorn somewhat resembles her human form colour-wise (the mane has a very similar colour like Amalthea's human hair). It's such a sweet little detail.

ohh my god this movie,,this movie. it was one of my favorites when i was younger. used to watch it all the time. seeing an entire tab dedicated to it was like a smack to the face (but in a good way). amalthea looks lovely and i love how the familiar matches so so well :)
also, this might just be me, but instead of the unicorn horn apparel reminding me of her actual horn, it makes me think of the part in the movie where she's given the fake horn bc people don't see her as a unicorn,,the piece at the base of the horn is probably what's making me think that

I watched The Last Unicorn for the first time earlier this year, and loved it. I can see why so many people like it so much. Your Amalthea is beautiful! The unicorn apparel is perfect for her. Thistle ringlets works really well for her purple accents. And the fact she is a shadow dragon for the purple eyes is just perfect.

Amalthea is absolutely perfect... as are all of the other fandragons for her book/movie.
