______ Long, long before modern drakes, an ancient dragon lived: one of Icewarden’s first children, but along those same lines, not. Crafted crudely from a corpse and strange, ancient magic, Metallo Nocturne came to life under the watchful eye of a being calling itself Nightmare. Raised and forged to fight, Meta wanted nothing more than a peaceful life, away from his overbearing, strongly opinionated father- And would do just about anything to get that peace. One day, after a particularly nasty argument, Meta snapped, using his own magic abilities to seal his father and creator into a crystal ball spattered with the very stars dragonkind watches. Haunted by nightmares ever since, Meta has taken himself to guarding the crystal ball that his father was sealed in: Hiding among the derelict manors of the Hewn City, where he first came to being.

______ Since those days have long passed, Meta has come into contact with some others of dragonkind, but not too many- He has sworn to remain here in this Manor, never leaving for fear of his father's escape. So, the palace he inhabited as a child has become his prison. Here, he wards away thieves and others. Meta has few acquaintances and no friends to speak of, dealing with a crushing loneliness that has, above everything, embittered him to the magic and amazement of this world he lives in. So he remains a cold drake, waiting for who knows what. He cannot allow his father to be freed, but this comes at the price of his own freedom. Will things ever change? Will Meta ever taste the freedom he has sought for far too long? Or shall he remain here forever, alone and guarding a menace that does not allow him rest?
