| Born from a strange ritual that was enacted deep in an unknown underwater cave, CavernSong was the first of her kind. She is the leader of the Vidryalines and the co-ruler of the kingdom Sphaera Adstrum. She and her sister, CrystalBloom, rule the undersea city-state together. Eternally trapped within their deep sea abode, they discovered how to create more like themselves. She and her followers continuously look for a way out of the maze-like tangle they call home, but with no luck. Unlike many dragons, she and her followers seem to be made of glassy, segmented joints. Despite being shiny and crystalline, they can swim quite well and clink musically when they walk on stone. CavernSong leads her followers with a gentle hand and her motherly disposition certainly helps. She and her sister are very close, and are nearly inseperable. She is the calmer, more level-headed of the two and tends to approach things with logic. CavernSong is a shy, benevolent leader that favors caution over immediate action. |

Crystalline Awakening It was cold when she awoke, and something moved beside her as she began to stir. CavernSong's watery eyes opened slowly as she took in the cave before her. The algae in the cave seemed to glow with an inner light, fascinating the young hatchling. Rising on wobbly legs, she gave out a little cry that echoed in the large chamber. Rocks were strewn about the cavern in a curious manner. Just as she was about to explore the limits of her new domain, a resounding chirp startled her. Whirling about, she came to face the other being in the cave. Her newfound friend, while welcome, was very different from herself. She cocked her head curiously, gazing down at the hatchling before her. While her scales gleamed in the dim lighting, her counterpart had scales that seemed to gleam with tiny pinpricks of light, surrounded by shifting masses of darkness. With a grin, the other hatchling eagerly scrambled over the pile of rubble to greet her friend. In her excitement, she somehow managed to trip on every single crag and nook on her way to Cavernsong. When she had finally made it to the outcrop that Cavernsong had awoken upon she beamed proudly at her new glistening playmate. The shy little dragonet peered down curiously, and gave a hesitant chirp. Interpreting that as an invitation, her friend bounded up the rock to hug her before leaping off the outcropping to chirp playfully. The little glass blue hatchling smiled and hopped down, accepting her partner's call to play with her. After chasing each other through the cavern, the pair collapsed in a tired pile of giggles. After eons of silence, the caverns sung with the musical clinking of her joints and the boisterous laughter of her sister. |
