Biography

Blessing

Shalebuck Horn

Each footstep was a dull thud, crisp leaves pushed down into the damp dirt of the forest floor. Trees bent, creaking in protest, to let the huge frame of wings and limbs past, shaking great clouds of foliage onto the ground. Deep blue eyes glinted against the depleting sun, studying each and every bough. Blessing yawned, mouth opening wide enough to reveal glossy white teeth, contrasting brilliantly against her dark hide. By the time she reached her destination, the sun was below the horizon, and stars were twinkling in the deep blue sky. Looking around cautiously, she sat down against a great oak, and waited for the moon to rise.

A mirror dragon crept out from among the shrubs, eyes darting around till they spotted the imperial's pelt glowing gently with the constellations dotted around.
"You got it?" He hissed, head cocking in a painful way. He was wrapped in ragged cloth, stained with a substance she hoped wasn't blood. His movements were short bursts of energy, and she leaned back with a grimace, before nodding, and drawing out a small, neatly tied bag from under her wing. When he made a swipe for it, she swung her head back, earning her an annoyed growl, and responded with a deeper, guttural bark of her own. He flinched, but held his ground, and she exhaled sharply.
"Ah, ah ah. Treasure." She chastised. He grumpily dumped some shiny, round coins in a equally dirty piece of fabric before her feet, and she placed hers into his waiting claws. He was off immediately, wings beating silently as he took off, and became invisible against the sky. Her eyes returned to the floor, and she wrapped up the payment, placing it under her wing, and turning away to return to her clan territory.

Blessing wasn't a bad dragon. She just happened to linger around the wrong dragons. She meant well, and her job was to help her get by. Despite this, some would view her actions as bad doings, so she kept to herself. It was better that way.
