He's a good Dad. His mate is away a lot, honing her battle skills, so he's taking care of their hatchlings. He is her solace at the end of the day and an expert at soothing her ruffled nerves.
It really helps that he speaks up on CC's behalf, and that of all Fae, when he hears other breeds make careless comments based on stereotype. Those who have been warned at how easily she can be riled up have been been more thoughtful since, since she really packs a punch. He prefers to have her in a good mood when she comes home!
He might want to take off the string he let the kids decorate him with first, though.
