Biography

Any way the Wind blows, that is the way this Fae must go!

Kraken has always been an "anything goes" Fae. Well, not always. For the first three weeks of his life, he tried to control everything. But that only failed, repeatedly. In particular, his attempts to change who he was as a pink and blue Fae. He wanted something greener, or sky like. He wanted to look like the Wind. But he was stuck, destined to follow what he saw at night.

The allure of seeing the future, knowing what was to come, or power of any kind is not something he experiences. The Wind blew him away from anydragon who wished to control and use him. He learned to trust that Wind, for whenever he tried to change anything, it always failed or backfired. No serious injuries occurred, but he quickly lost interest.

He rarely sees or feels anything during the day. Most of it comes at night, where he dreams of things happening across the 11 realms and to dragons and Lairs that he has never seen, never heard of, and usually he never learned their names. He just gets to watch as he slept. And then during the day, the Wind would take him out to play.

He stayed at various Lair's, but then his dreams changed. He kept seeing the same Lair over and over again. And a darkness over it, removing the light. He never saw any dragons, only the Lair.

Kraken had no clue why he saw it darken, and he certainly didn't seek it out, but he was was driven each night to see it, and often multiple times at night; especially right when he went to sleep and right before he awoke. He saw it so many times that he was losing sleep over it.

And then the Wind picked him up and took him high into the sky. He was taken up so high that he began to have trouble breathing and his little wings and body was freezing over. But the Wind was warm, doing what it could for the little Fae with many eyes.

Across the realms he was taken in a burst of speed he had never flown before. The usually gentle and playful Wind had a purpose and he was going there.

It took him to the Sunbeam Ruins and then it stopped. Kraken immediately dove, seeking the warm and free breath of the lower stratosphere.
As he glided through better air, searching out the Wind, he stumbled upon it. He was so shocked that he stopped and flapped his wings in place.

Below him, in the exact spot his dreams had always been in, was the Lair his dreams had been torturing him with. But this time it was alive, and there was no looming darkness coming to take it over. Most of what he saw below was Guardian Dragons. It wad not that he had a problem with them he just loathed the size difference between him, the smallest race of Dragonkind, and the mammoth sized Guardians, Ridgeback, and Imperials.

He saw only two Imperials among the Lair. One was dancing in the sky in a beautiful display of aerial acrobatics as she glittered and shined. The other was multi-colored and on the ground. He was busy with multiple other dragons.

Their appeared to be an absolute lack of Ridgebacks. After a few bad encounters with a member or two, he hated all fo them by default. He knew it wasn't fair, and it certainly wasn't easy-going, but it was his life.

The Imperial appeared to be in charge. It was clear that he was supposed to be here. The Wind would only drive him back tomorrow if he did not at least meet them. If it didn't work out the Wind could not blame him. At least, that is what Kraken thought.

The tiny Fae dove pulling up to the large Imperial. He was immediately taken as a pest as the dragon gave out orders to a pack of Mirror Dragons. Kraken moved back in closer but he was swatted away again. He was too far off to his side for him to be seen by the large dragon as anything but a pest.

Kraken flipped up and the dropped right on the nose of the dragon. He could not deny his existence of the pink and blue Fae. The Imperial was about to snap at him but they he stopped st the last moment. His eyes glanced over Kraken, trying to see take in all of the little Fae before he replied.

"Forgive me," He said. "I believe that I have tried to swat you away like a pesky bird. And for that, I am deeply sorry. I have much to do and we were not expecting a visitor. It is a very busy day, but you are certainly worth speaking with. How did you come to these parts?"

"The Wind took me here at its will," Kraken replied with a shrug. "And I have seen this place multiple times over the nights as I dream. But I saw no dragons then."

"Then let me be the first to welcome you to Katabainó Dunatos Katharos, a Lair of light in the high service of the Lightweaver. We have a place for dragons gifted with two sights like yourself. May I tsk you to meet our Oracle? She can better care and direct one as yourself.

"Yes," Kraken said. "But I must say, I feel a warmth I have never felt in my life here. Kraken took off, leaving the Imperial Dragon's nose. " you swatting me like a pesky insect made me forget my manners. I am Kraken."

"And I am Meiji, the Shogun of the Lair and the lain point of contact between the Supreme Emperor and Supreme Empress. I carry our the day to day tasks, so they can deal with the bigger ones."

The cave was not far. Inside was a Guardian Dragon, a Mirror Dragon, a Nocturne Dragon, and Twi Fae Dragons. All had the same multiple eyes Kraken did and all of them were at peace with each other. The fact that two Faes were living with the Guardian was an immediate comfort. Kraken would not be the only one around a big dragon."
