Laramie emerged from beneath the earth and rocks at sunset. He lay in the tunnel opening he had created, hidden by the bamboo that lined the cliff face. He was mesmerized by the sunset glistening off the Sea of a Thousand Currents that lay spread before him. The breeze in the bamboo lulled him and, weary, he soon slept while it sang to him...

He awoke with a raging hunger. Contrary to popular belief, Earth Eaters didn't actually eat the rocks through which they burrowed. Leaving the safety of the tunnel, he flew up the face of the cliff, weaving in and out of the bamboo forest. As he crested the summit, a pungent aroma assaulted his nostrils, rich and spicy, making his mouth water. Following the smell down a gully, now flying low and silent through the stalks of bamboo, Laramie finally came upon the source of the wondrous smell. At a crossroads, nestled against the bamboo forest, stood a tall and varied structure. Dragons of all sorts were wandering in and out the oversized entrance, over which hung a carved, wooden sign: "Pan's Brewpub and Inn."
