Biography
The Blessed
Himeros joined the Clan of Crying Forests after Filigree forced Cosaru to burrow a clear distance away from a blessed tree. She then cared for the tree and planted various flowers around it, using it as a small shrine to The Gladekeeper. He appreciated her kindness and decided to join the clan as a protector. Due to his Chaotic nature, he commonly plays small pranks on separate members of the clan. His massive size makes him unable to burrow with the other dragons, so he sleeps elsewhere. Using his monthly gift, he re-blessed the tree, making it nearly triple in size and grow in grandeur. Via this, he now sleeps in the tree wrapped around its branches. Himeros is playful, especially with younger dragons. The pranks he plays are usually harmless, unless he is upset with another member of the clan. He spends most of his time carving intricate wood statues out of driftwood and other dead wood. If he finds something shiny that adheres to his interest, he will hang it on the tree as an ornament. He generally does not speak unless one of the dragons purposefully flies or climbs up to him to talk. Despite his playfulness, he is actually extremely wise and radiates a priestly aura. He also enjoys leaving the clan for hours at a time to fly around the Viridian Labyrinth.
Powers
As a Chaotic Forest Spirit, Himeros’s footsteps glow and he can bless tree saplings. Once a year, he picks a random sapling that he will bless. He presses his snout to it and slowly breathes arcane energy into it. As it grows, this tree will start to obtain many odd characteristics. It will become a various shade of pink/red and end up being taller and thicker than the trees around it. For most of the year, the tree is adorned with shimmering pink petals that seem almost metallic. Starting in March, the tree slowly develops glowing pure white flowers that look like twinkling stars to a viewer beneath it. These flowers shine their brightest during mid-April. During Nature's month of May, these blessed trees finally bare their fruit. In them reside no seeds. They are about the size of a durian and smell just as bad. Despite their horrendous smell, the fruit is actually extremely delicious and healthy.
