Bjarkan is not without affinity and affection for her native element of Light, but she also appreciates the element of Nature, inspired by her own resemblance to birch bark.

She is the clan's foremost practitioner of passive magic, particularly runes. When a member of the clan wants a personal possession warded or a hunter taking a trip to the Southern Icefield wants a talisman enchanted to provide them a little extra insulation against the cold, she is the one they go to.

Her enthusiasm for her phytocat is one of many things that make her and Rachoto friends with plenty to talk about.
