Charlotte is what everyone dreads in a pirate: She knows just what to say to get out of trouble, can easily put up a fight by her lonesome with a skillful swipe of a cutlass, and is smart enough to tie it all together. If it weren’t for her ego the size of an Emperor, she and her crew would be unstoppable in the skies of Sornieth. Thankfully enough, she gets into enough scraps with rival crews to keep her frequently docked in the Starshroud, working on her airship, The Hovering Grail, for its next flight. Despite her general dastardly deeds, Charlotte is charismatic enough to stay out of any major troubles with the more permanent residents of the Starshroud, and is smart enough to come to a compromise with the guards to stay out of any trouble while she is docked in the area. Many of the residents are content to roll their eyes at her honeyed words, while others directly avoid her in fear of marking their lairs and shops next on her list of places to pillage. After all, what's stopping the Scourge from crossing the guards when she’s not above taking what she wants already? Despite her clear profession, many rumors swirl around about the true nature of Charlotte. Some wonder if perhaps her chosen mantle is merely a facade that she’s too-far-gone-in to shed that hides a much smaller, scared individual, while others debate if there’s a true reason she chooses to dock in the Starshroud over any other clan. While she’s more keen to glare and threaten than give explanation, some more keen members do tend to notice how often she lingers in the lair of their resident water representative ... Not that they’d ever point that out. |
