- Dragon equivalent of a transhumanist (believes in applying Lightning's inventive mindset to enhance the draconic body and mind).
- Clever, determined to do well at her job, and respectful of others.
- Was quite close to her father, and occasionally visits her parents since her current clan travels across the Lightning flight.
- Doesn't spend a lot of time with other Coatls, with her closest friend being an Imperial dragon. Due to this lack of interaction with her own breed, she hasn't experienced much accusations of being a bearer of illness.
- Fairly talkative, and will enthusiastically discuss a wide range of topics, from the mundane, to the absurd, to the serious.
- Lives for science fiction books and is subscribed to a monthly Lightning-based magazine on the topic. It features stories, interviews, real-life technological advances, and reviews, as well as illustrations which Birch herself occasionally designs. The magazine's main rival is an Arcane publication on a similar topic.
