xxx On the beachfront of the first isle you'll find a dirty, humble Ridgeback who islanders tend to avoid. She drifts between market stalls trading seashells for scraps of fish. Or she'll even approach you looking for a trade should you entertain her company. Muriel is used to dragons brushing her off or ignoring her- looking at her like she's scum. If she minds she doesn't let it show and simply goes about her day collecting seashells and trading them for necessities she otherwise struggles to find.

 		Muriel has no desire to change her lifestyle. Farmers or workers who ask her to join them in exchange for housing will be met with confused and disappointed stares. She is happy to be a dragon who lives with what the world will give her. Her desire to live in such a way has sparked countless rumors about who she is- most of which are unflattering. She knows few dragons will understand her way of life but Muriel has no qualms about how she chooses to live her existence. She is perfectly content with what she has and desires nothing further.

Beach Drifter
Unlike just about every other dragon on the isles Muriel has no permanent home. She arrived with no funds and no desire to pledge allegiance to House Wavecaller either. Due to her refusal to acknowledge House Wavecaller as her leader and not a coin to her name Mosquito refused to entertain her and Muriel was left homeless. Not that she minds. Muriel is a simple Ridgeback, who prefers to live off of what she can find for herself. She doesn't like owing debts or being tethered to other dragons and their bonds. She's a drifter, a vagabond who goes from city to city.

xxx That is, until the Isles. En route to them Muriel was attacked by a Shadebeast and became horribly possessed. Returning to the Isles from a recent trip, Onsiphoros found Muriel and dragged her through the gate to be healed. Even though the isles sapped the shade from her body Muriel has been warned against leaving. The possession left her sensitive to being repossessed should she encounter shade again and given how dangerous Shipwreck Cove is to begin with she hasn't dared try to leave.

Despite the Second Isle offering the most produce and materials for a dragon living off the land Muriel enjoys the sounds and company of other dragons. She lingers on the first isle to be near them and engage in chats with whoever lets her. Muriel has inherited the Ridgeback's hatred of water and while she'll collect a small amount of seawater to wash her scales in she never truly bathes or visits the Bathhouse.
