A Blackwing Croaker went limp under her paws.

I must cleanse this land of evil. Restore it to its pure, light state.

She glanced around the familiar shed, looking for any more darkness. A King Quillrunner rested, curled up with a Quillrunner and a Velvet Floracat.

Expel the shadow.

More meat for the Wildclaws. They'd love this.

She left in search of more. She'd eventually found her way to a different Ice clan - but was stopped before she could consume the darkness. A Coatl had found her - Sycora, with two hatchlings, Peep and Meep, in her wake.

No darkness here. She was satisfied.

For the first time in her life, the hunger to remove the darkness was sated.

She wound up in Earth.

She did not know how she got here. Perhaps chasing a flock of Tengu. But she certainly got here.

The blue crystals were a spot of color in the desolate landscape. She followed them, not knowing any better. Perhaps there would be food here.

Her eyes caught a strange Wildclaw. His soul seemed to be split into many different pieces, darkness seeping out of each one. Nobody could see this but her. She had to consume all the shadow herself, it seemed.

The dragon saw her in his way, and kicked her aside.

But Icarus soon realized he flew too close to the sun.
