Biography
One may say, to not go to a certain area and do certain things, but as much as one will pretend to agree, that curiosity that nibbles at the back of the mind will win over the logical side and even if they were warned, they still do the things they were warned not to do. Then you'll understand why they warned you about that thing because you'll regret afterwards and wish you would've listened. Parker was one of those types.
Parker has always been a very adventurous and curious dragon. He loved discovering new things, ever since he was a hatchling, exploring the grass, discovering insects and the world around him. He strode with pride looking at this new world all around him, and he loved every moment. But, he was a silly dragon when he was young because if his parents or the other adults told him not to do something or go somewhere, he would. "Don't go outside the clan's borders. It's dangerous out there. Many terrible creatures walk outside of the protection of the clan." One of the older dragons once said to Parker, but he, never took his warning seriously and one evening decided he would go out. When he felt the others fall asleep, he quietly slipped out of the den he slept in and walk to the borders of the camp. Excitement and fear filled him all at once, and he knew there was no turning back now! So he finally put one foot towards then the other one, and before he knew it he was out of his camp. A thrilling feeling went through his body and he walked further, and further away from his camp. He ran around as the last lights of the sun started to fade, exploring all he could before returning to his camp. He didn't understand why the dragon warned him about going out until he felt something bite deep into his leg, he screeched and ran back towards the camp with blood falling from his small leg. He ran to his mother and woke her up with a startle, big blotchy tears fell from his small eyes as he huddled up to his mom and showed her the bite. Worry shot through the mother as she started licking the wound to clean it, then she put some special leaves onto it to help it heal up.
She then looks at her little hatchling checking if he was okay, and then wondered how he got it. She looked at him and asked how did he get that. Parker tried to come up with smart excuses but his mother was clever enough to see through his childish lies and excuses. She gave him a stern look and made him know she wanted the truth, so this time he told her the whole truth. She wasn't happy with him, so as a punishment he had to stay in the den for a whole week. He didn't reject and without a word, he curled up into the warmth of his mother and fell asleep. She looked at him with love and hope he wouldn't pull something like this again after his punishment. She tucked him close and fell asleep.
The week of the punishment passed and Parker was so happy to finally be free, it was so boring for him being confined to that tiny room. But sadly, as much as to his mother's hopes, the punishment didn't change anything and since then, Parker kept on going further and deeper into the land. They tried a few more times to stop him but he kept going. The clan accepted his routines as they knew they couldn't stop him, so from that day on he became known as an adventurer. The more he grew, the more adventurous his adventures got, he loved it all and the feeling of discovering new things with his own two eyes. He wanted to explore every crevice and root, every creature big or small that roamed the same land as he does, every plant that grew in the rich ground below his feet, he loved it all and wanted to explore it all. Because of his adventurous self, the clan often made him go on patrols with others to gather items that the clan needed or help them hunt with his sharp eye for food.
One day though, the clan was in desperate need of certain items, but they were located at the border of the shadow land, beside the plague land. A spark of chatter started up as they needed to send a few volunteering dragons to go get the items needed, two experienced dragons Who knew the path very well as they frequented it a lot. Another small dragon came along for the gathering of items, and so that left one more spot left. One of the experienced dragons looked straight at Parker and suggested if he wants to come. Parker thought about it for a moment, all the possibilities to see and he'll for the first time see both the shadow and plague land! He could discover so much more... With an exciting nod, he agreed to go on these adventures. All four dragons were to leave when the sun rose first thing in the morning. So they all went their separate ways, they all got there bags ready. Especially Parker. He fell asleep quickly, ready for the adventure.
Parker woke up to a nudge, he woke up to see one of the experience dragons and he remembered the adventure. He got his stuff and they all set off. Parker was amazed by everything, he loved the creepiness and the darkness of the shadowland place. He admired it all. He took it all in. As it would be the last thing he admired before the tragedy happens. Three days later, they finally arrive. They work together and split up into groups to gather all the stuff. Parker, goes to the Plague Land Border, he admired how vast and red it looked. He was going to go back to gathering his items until he spotted a red and white flower with yellow stems that popped up from the middle. He was mesmerized by the beauty of this flower, he's never seen anything like it before, he wondered what it smelt like, but the moment he did, the flower spewed out a sort of acid that landed all over his nose and eyes. Parker let out a painful screech as the acid burnt into his skin, slowly turning it red and green bubbles started to form on his face as darkness starting to consume his world, the last thing he heard was the yelling of his clanmates before his world went entirely black.
He woke up to his world being entirely black, he screamed as he heard voices and panic overtook him but then he felt the soft hum of his mother's tune. They explained everything to him. His face was covered with plague and red and green bubbles from the acid the flower threw.
Parker felt awful and very bad and uneasy for many months on end as he wanted to see the real world, he didn't wanna be like this he can't adventure or admire or do anything! , but his clan mates helped him through everything and he started to feel get used to his world of darkness. He misses seeing the real world but he's getting used to living life like this.
The plague on his eyes may have made his world his world dark, but Parker's soul is still as bright as ever.
