H I S T O R Y
It was a long trip for Bellus Anima and her brother Mollis Mediae as they trailed behind their new company: Cinis Cadere and Lucidus Mors. It was strange that the voices did not speak of their arrival. Usually Bellus Anima was alerted of such things by the voices of the dead. It was fortunate that she had her wits about her. She could sense the malice radiating from Lucidus Mors in waves. That Coatl was not feeling the same as Cinis Cadere. Bellus Anima could feel a sense of relief coming from her older brother. What was there to be relieved about? He had his friend. At least that is what Bellus Anima heard when she asked their elder brother Malacus Nimbus about it. Bellus Anima trotted to catch up with Cinis Cadere. "What did you mean by the more Dream Eaters, the better?" Cinis Cadere kept the pace but his head tilted, as if thinking. It was difficult for Bellus Anima to discern because of his mask.

"Us Dream Eaters were ordered to scatter, you are aware?" Bellus Anima nodded. Cinis Cadere asked, "So you weren't told why?" "Malacus Nimbus never said," answered Bellus Anima. "Typical. He's useless that way." Lucidus Mors chuckled. "You were cast out just like me...because of your power...They feared what you could do...together with your siblings." Bellus Anima blinked. She looked to Cinis Cadere. "Is that true?" Cinis Cadere nodded. "When we feed on dreams, we cast a paralytic effect on our victims. You know this?"

Mollis Mediae spoke up, "No. We did not know." Cinis Cadere said, "Our powers are amplified when we're with each other. It means that-" Lucidus Mors chuckled, "That the paralysis can stop hearts. Which opens the way for my necromancy." Bellus Anima narrowed her eyes. "Why would we need that?" Lucidus Mors purred, "Power..." Cinis Cadere supplied, "For the Plaguebringer. Lucidus Mors and I have been working together to become stronger. So that we won't be kicked out of our home ever again. Don't you two want to be strong enough to keep your home?"

It was a reasonable enough thing. Little did Bellus Anima know, that this conversation was the beginning of the end for many dragons that would fall to her and her siblings' claws. They were Dream Eaters after all and they would not be kept from devouring the best of dreams. It was an easy enough transition for Bellus Anima and Mollis Mediae. They had the guidance of both Cinis Cadere and Lucidus Mors. They learned about their abilities from Cinis Cadere and it was Lucidus Mors' cunning mind that guided where they struck. Only on occasion would Bellus Anima find herself alone with her thoughts. It was those times that she listened to the voices of the dead. They were still plenty eager to impart their wisdom to her but she could sense a feeling of sadness from them. Not that she really had the motivation to do anything about that. What she did with her brothers and Lucidus Mors was filling her belly and building her strength. She never felt better in her life.
