Biography

Born in the coldest, darkest pits of the icy domains, Njorn has always been the odd one of his family, what with all those eyes and a pearl that seemed to be made with the purest ice, yet always perfect and unscratched. Even with those peculiar traits and eyes that might make others stay away, Njorn grew up as happy as he could be, just being forced to be a little more careful than the other hatchlings- turns out, that many eyes do get annoying when it gets really windy out.

It was only when he started to grow older and calmer than he realized just how different he was from other dragons. The elders just thought of him as a hatchling that finally matured and mellowed out, but Njorn knew this was not the case. He always felt an odd sense of ease, an eerie calm that could only be attributed to the harshest storms, standing strong and unbothered againat the worst enemies.

It almost felt like the ice was claiming his heart and soul.

It wasn't just that odd peace that almost disturbed him. He soon realized that his eyes were more than just a few extra body parts. He could see much more than anyone around him, could see their souls and their sins, how clean or tainted they were, and even blurry events that he wasn't sure had already happened or would soon come true.

A normal dragon would've likely gone insane long ago. Njorn was glad he was not normal. The ice kept him at ease, its essence whispering to him, a soothing presence for a troubled soul.

Even with the peace of the ice by his side, Njorn couldn't help the deep sense of disgust settling in the pit of his stomach.

What had happened, he wasn't sure, only knew that an innocent dragon, someone he called a friend when he didn't feel so numb, was taking the fall for it, for something he didn't even know about. He saw their souls, all of them, an ugly mess of pitch black threatening to devour that tiny speckle of white.

Not even his eyes could stop that awful sentence. He left the clan soon after. He would make this right.

Njorn wasn't sure how much time had passed when the innocent dragon was finally freed, when he finally found someone who could help. He did not care either. Once he had been given back what was stolen from him, Njorn followed the unknown dragon and the kind stranger to his new home, introducing himself as a friend. Maybe his eyes could help fix what had been done and recover what had been lost.
