..................Guest B..................
An all-powerful cosmic entity, bursting the seams of its mortal coil. | ..... |
..................In the Beginning.....................
It had only been a matter of time before the God of Battle lost control.
The other entities who'd created the universe knew B was unstable, but they'd never really questioned it. He was one of them, after all, and with his odd bloodlust and vicious strength, it wasn't like violence was out of the ordinary for him They'd needed his strength at the beginning, when they were just starting to create the various dimensions and planets. And they'd needed it as the universe grew, to maintain the existence of the universe and its order.
But there was also a lurking, nagging suspicion that one day, B would lose control. That he'd cease to work with the others. That he'd destroy everything in his path, and remake it in his own image. Even if the other would like to point out that one, he was terrible at making things, and two, even if he was good at making things, his own image was a terrible thing to impose on others.
"Watch out!"
C ducked as a powerful burst of light tore through space and time, probably annihilating a couple of systems and some of the new planets he'd been creating. He gritted his teeth and deflected the next blast of light, but was still pushed back.
"He's out of control!" F shouted from somewhere off to his far right. The God of Force had dark brown hair, glowing eyes, and flowing orange robes. Her armor was pitch black, seams of blue light illuminating the dark universe. With a single hand, she fired back a beam of bright blue light. It slammed into the figure currently shredding through a planet, but B roared and shook it off, barely stopping in his path of destruction.
"THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE IS MINE!" B bellowed. With a sweep of his hand, he sent the other two entities flying back, and C and F crashed into a pile of space debris. C gritting his teeth, creating a giant chunk of rock and slamming it down, but B just slashed through that too. "I AM B, THE UNLIMITED. THE FIRST AND THE BEST. BEGONE, LOWER BEINGS! THE
COSMIC WORLD IS MINE!"
"I don't think so, flicker!" F yelled. Both hands glowing, she shot a combined blast of energy at B. B screamed in rage as she shocked him, but the cosmic entity just shrugged off the discharge. F cursed. "What do we do? He's too powerful!"
C stumbled back onto his feet. "But we can't just let him destroy the universe!" he demanded. He was the God of Creation. He had to be able to do something. He couldn't just let their hard work go to waste. "Where is Matt? We need his help!"
"I called him," F responded, summoning another force field to block B's attacks. It wasn't enough, and her form flickered under the strain. She snarled in rage. "But even if the God of Matter arrives, how are we supposed to defeat that?"
She gestured at the cosmic entity mid-thigh in a swirling soup of galactic destruction. B, the God of Battle, tossed his head back and screeched at the sky, every movement ripping through the fabric of space. His blue eyes blazed. His blond hair floated weightlessly in the galaxy. With one hand, he grabbed the gravitational pull of a star and ripped it from existence. C watched in horror as the planets orbiting the star went pinging off into the dark recesses of space.
"He's destroying everything in his path, and if this continues, he'll destroy the cosmic foundation this world is built on," F determined, hissing angrily. "We need to stop him. Now!"
"But how?!" C demanded as B attacked again. This time, he and F worked together. A giant wave of rocks hurtled at B, charged with cosmic energy. The combined attack slammed into B but barely slowed him down, and C cursed. It was like punching water. There was nothing to hit, nothing to destroy there. "He's too powerful!"
B turned towards them, eyes glowing with rage. "YOU DARE DEFY ME?"
"We built this place together, *******!" F yelled back. 'Don't try to undermine all of our efforts! You won't be able to rebuild without us!"
"SILENCE, YOU FOOLS!" Another sweep of his hand, and the cosmic fabric of the world rippled, throwing F and C off of balance. "I AM B, THE ULTIMATE! I AM-"
A bright flash reverberated through the cosmic world, and Matt slammed into the god with a loud "******!"
B tumbled backwards, grappling with Matt and giving C and F time to catch their breath. C glanced at F. Matt was strong, true, but there was no way he was going to last in a fight. They had to finish this, now, while they still had enough strength to. In a long fight, all three of them would perish.
"We need to work together," F said. "Seal his power in a form so insignificant he cannot use his full power and would perish in the attempt."
"I can do that," C said. "But I need material."
Matt flung B into the recesses of the galaxy and floated up to stand with them. "Think I've got the right ones for you," he said, extending a hand. A lump of odd, flesh-colored material swirled into existence. C grabbed it and started molding it. "Make it extra ugly, please."
A roar echoed through the cosmic world, and they all flinched. C worked quickly. Hands, face, and a round body. He crafted it as well as he could, channeling his energy into it so it would keep its shape and bind whatever was sealed to it. He quickly held up the doll. 'Done. What do we do? How do we put him in here?"
"That's easy," F punched one fist into the other hand. "I'll force him into it." She spread her hands, and a giant energy bolt started forming in mid-space. "Get ready, everyone! He's coming!"
They moved.
By mutual silent agreement, all three entities got into action. F continued condensing her energy. Matt shot forward, tackling B just as the entity rose from the debris, and C flew along, as fast as he could, until he was directly behind B.
"F, now!" he shouted, and he saw a blast of light.
"WHAT TRICKERY DO YOU THINK--" B started, right before the giant blue beam of energy slammed into his face. His form began to be shredded. "WHAT IS THIS? WHAT IS HAPPENING?"
"Sorry, buddy, we can't have you destroying this world," C said, as the wisps of B's form started merging with his clay doll. He held the doll up. "MORE, F!"
"I'M TRYING!" She shouted back. The beam intensified and B howled in rage, but Matt held him in place.
"YOU CANNOT CONTAIN ME. YOU CANNOT - NOOOOOooooooo!"
There was a bright flash, and B vanished. At the same time, the doll in C's hands pulsed to life, and spinning around, C launched him into orbit. The three entities gathered and watched in silence as their old comrade and friend spiraled off into the darkness.
F wiped the sweat from her brow. "It's only a temporary measure. He'll find a way to break free of those mortal bonds."
"We'll need to watch him," Matt agreed. "But if there was a way to contain him longer until we find a better way..." he looked at C. "Where did you send him?"
"To a planet on the far side of the galaxy, but it won't be enough," C said. "He'll just start killing all the miis there, gaining strength until he breaks those bonds. We need to create something stronger. Something... trickier for him to escape from."
They looked at each other, and an idea flashed through the three of them. "A resort?" Matt asked.
"Why not? It works," C replied, grinning. "What do we call it? Sports?"
"No, that name's already been taken," F tapped a finger on her lip. "How about... Wuhu Island?"
C spread his arms and started creating. "Sounds like a plan."
The bonds wouldn't hold B forever. But they would hold long enough.
