Puca wasn't born with magic. Which is undeniably a shocker to those that find out. After all he is the clan's sorcerer and main magic user. He had been the most mundane dragon possible before he gained his powers. No matter how hard Puca had tried as a child, he just couldn't cast a single spell. It made him feel alienated from his peers. Like there was fundamentally wrong with him, until one day he encountered a dying druid.

What she had been doing in the Scarred Wasteland he didn't know, he didnt even know her name, and still doesn't. She had found him on a particularly bad day by himself, and comforted him. She had heard of him and watched him try over and over to cast the most basic spell. She saw a good heart in him, and taught him everything she knew. She became almost like a parental figure to him. This went on for months, until one fateful day, she gave him all of her magic, blossoms blooming upon his pelt from the nature magic that surged through him. This was almost unheard of, a plague aligned dragon gaining nature magic. He burst into tears from sheer joy and shock, hugging her close. Puca knew she was dying, but when she didn't come back to their usual meeting spot, he didn't want to believe it. It took weeks until the realization set in and the denial faded. Stricken with grief and sadness, he left the next day to make for the Viridian Labyrinth. Nothing was tying him to his birth clan anymore.

After meeting Rosepicker and Branchjumper, he joined their clan, and even fell in love with them both. He was happy here, a place he felt like he belonged. Sometimes he catches a glimpse of what he thinks is a wildclaw out of the corner of his eye, someone familiar yet different. Perhaps a close friend born anew. At times he even feels a strong surge in magic, especially after these sightings. He doesn't know why, but he hopes they watch over him for as long as they can.
