Catalpa moved to the realms of the Earth after being hatched and raised in a clan of the Wind. She grew weary of the care-free temperments that most of her former clanmates possessed, and floating freely on the breezy, bamboo-filled lands and the open, gustful sky of the Twisting Crescendo was just not for her. Cat did not enjoy being in the sky as much as having her legs on solid ground and longed for stability, strength, and unison in a clan. She left her clan as soon as she could fend for herself in the wilderness. Her search did not last long as she came upon a clan who served the mighty Earthshaker.

The clan she had stumbled upon was small but unified. She recognized a few of the members, who had also left her former clan. With the excitement of being reunited with her hatchling playmates, she joined the clan without hesitation, along with the approval of the clan leaders. There may not have been many of them, but they were a family unit, strong and steadfast. She, being one of the strongest of them all, gladly took up her role in protecting the clan.
