. Eztli is a composed and graceful figure of a highly educated noble background, carrying with him a certain brand of chivalry and often speaking with flowery language and formal airs. As a child, he was groomed for governance and taught the things he would need to properly care for the people that lived on his family's land, like politics, arithmetic, reading and writing, and other such subjects. Those same lands were attacked when Eztli himself was far too young to serve as anything but a political hostage, and his mansion was burned to the ground. In the chaos, his family and staff were lost to him. But Eztli was an intelligent child. The boy was without his grand support structure, so he made himself valuable and loved and feared. He could offer the other street rats plans for procuring food. He offered ways to get out of the troubles they'd landed themselves in. He gave them the best places to lay low, to sleep, to run to when all else was compromised. All he asked for was the best pick of the spoils. And when the ungrateful tried to weasel, he was creative. He was vengeful. Now he's a lot more active in procuring food and wealth.
