Microlore: With colors like a candle in the darkest night, his parents had high hopes for him. Trained in the art of the Hunt, he knows how to find and kill the undead, quieting their bodies and returning their souls to rest. But shortly before adulthood, he manifested an ability wielded by only one other family member: the healing magic held by his brother, Bier.

This mending magic, unusual as it was, had been seen in Oakrest before. It was a known danger in the tombs, and there was no known way of harnessing his abilities beyond apprenticing him to another mender. Left unchecked, mending magic had called bones from the earth, rent the gardens nearly asunder, and caused nothing but trouble and unchecked mayhem. The other menders had long-since left, and so he joined his brother at the Little Acorn Inn.

Bier, a musician, had no great craft to teach his younger brother. But he did know how to keep the mending quiet, how to call on it only when he needed to. They went on journeys together with Bier's mate, Karina, across the Shattered Plain, affording him plenty of opportunities to practice and fix injured wildlife and broken things.

When he grew old enough, he left the territories around Oakrest and traveled further, hoping to find a land less surrounded by the memories of the dead. There, he would practice his magic until he could master it, becoming a healer in every manner. He may still know the Hunt, but his heart has chosen another path.
