Brioso

Brioso is Ariosa's mate and one of her best friends. Brioso came to the clan awhile after Ariosa and quickly became attached to her. Once Ariosa started to sing Brioso began trying too. He isn't the natural song dragon they way his mate is, but he practiced with her until they could sing beautifully together. He's still a little insecure about his singing voice though, so when he wants to sing just to his mate he prefers to be where no one will overhear him.As long as he is singing with Ariosa he's ok with and audience, but he still gets little jitter each time .

They sing a quiet song together when they curl up to sleep for the night.

“Ariosa, darling, are you almost done?”
“Just a moment!” Ariosa placed a few cubes of cheese on the stone shelf where her small Ember Mouse sat. She squeaked in thanks and began to nibble on the treats.
Ariosa turned and fluttered to the other side of the lair, where Brioso had already lain down. She tucked her head beneath his wing and curled her body against his. “Sorry for the wait love.”
Brioso nuzzled his snout against hers and smiled. “Shall we begin?”
Ariosa stretched out her neck, tilting her head up to the ceiling. Brioso watched as the fading light caught her scales, making them shimmer. She began to sing. After the first few moments, Brioso found his voice and joined her.

The music swirled and swelled through their cave. The two lovers closed their eyes and swayed with the song. In the corner, the Ember Mouse laid it’s head down and curled up, falling asleep to the melody.
When the last note rang out, Brioso nuzzled his mate once more, and the two’s breathing slowly fell into sink with sleep, their tails intertwined.
