Isla

Isla and her sister Edita hatched deep at the edge of the craterous Wyrmwound. They were the youngest hatchlings of a highly prominent and productive pair so from early in life the going was tough scrapping with their older and heavier siblings for food and a position of dominance in the clan. The two sisters became very close and could often be found playing and comforting each other when the strenuous tests set by their elders became more than difficult.

Isla was shunned a young dragon by others in her clan as her shining bright golden scales caused her to be teased and mistrusted for the colours affiliation to the light clan but her Mothers strong plague lineage and aggressive devotion to the Plaguebringer prevented any serious attacks against her. However, Isla was much more quiet, gentle and reserved than it is considered correct for a member of the plague flight. She enjoyed it most when she had the chance to get away from the brawling and would find festering toadstool to hide atop of simply sitting, dreaming and watching the world go by looking out beyond the Scarred wasteland out to where she knew the sea lay. Edita would often realise when she had become lost in her thoughts and would find and warn her before an elder would miss her presence at practice and punish her for her bad attitude.

When Isla grew into a fine and unusually large Wildclaw the clan elders were begrudgingly impressed, they had hopes that with her size and strength she would have a good chance of proving herself worthy of exaltation serving the clan in dominance and the Plaguebringer herself!
But as Isla entered her adult battles and challenges it was clear that she had no aptitude for fighting and although large she was clumsy with if and was easily distracted, her sparring partners and tutors alike roaring with frustration as she tried once again to keep focused.

One day Isla was out training with two other young dragons from her clan when they stumbled upon a resting Clown Charger. Emboldened by their previous exploits the two proud young plague dragons were excited at the chance to attack a foe far tougher than any they had yet faced and gloated of how impressed their elders would be when the returned to the clan with the meat and fins held high in their jaws! Isla wasn't so sure but with her shy nature quickly submitted to the others plans when they told her not to be so cowardly! It was a three against one fight, why was she scared...
