Aristaeus
naturemidsmall.png

Growing up in the Viridian Labyrinth, Aristaeus was somewhat sheltered from the outside world when she was young. The clan in which she was raised was calm and peaceful, choosing to keep to themselves rather than train and fight in the Gladekeeper’s name. They had connections to small groups of Beastclans, with whom they traded and lived in harmony.

As a young dragon, Aristaeus visited the Sunbeam ruins. It was there she first saw an Emperor. She watched in horror as its hulking form trudged through a field littered with the corpses of dragons, while researchers desensitized to the destruction picked through the carnage for artefacts. Never had she seen such a horrifying sight. For the first time, the reality of Sornieth’s situation dawned on her. She was all at once acutely aware of the horrors dragonkind had inflicted upon the creatures of their shared world, and she was given a purpose.

How could her peers in the Labyrinth justify the destruction they’ve caused? How can they claim to fight for the Gladekeeper while they ravage the land she cultivated, and hurt the ones who protect it? Nature dragons are supposed to be kind and nurturing, yet every day they destroy the Beastclans and their own dragon brethren.

Sornieth is not only ours. It does not belong to those of the Nature flight, nor does it belong to dragonkind. It belongs to all living creatures, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. It is wrong for dragons to push Beastclans from their homes, and Aristaeus has made it her mission to make it right. She set out on her own, and started a clan with the goal of uniting all dragons and Beastclans together as one.
