Forgotten Crown
Claims to be a hero from a long-gone era, hailing from Ozriftr. He wields a legendary axe which bears said hero's namesake, and he is never seen without it. Appears to go through various states of mind, as though forgetting who he is at times.

After picking up that axe, nothing was the same. Nothing ever could be. A weapon meant battle, a violent purpose; how could nothing change? A young scholar takes to arms. A young warrior finds a fight to champion. A young hero makes a purpose. Nothing ever changes.

Mourning possessed an undying sense of devotion and empathy, which made war hard on him. By popular mythos, he nearly always fought in self defense or for the protection of others, readily putting himself in danger or moving others from harm's way. He would rather be hurt than let others suffer, and his soft heart would inevitably become his downfall.

Mourning Chill was a hero of ancient times, known for having the strength to cleave a mountain in two with his incredibly sharp axe while also having the ability to plan around anything with equally sharp wit. How much of this is fact and not fiction is.. debatable at best, but Mourning is a popular historical figure and character of mythos across Ozriftr. He was said to have died on the field of battle, and that all of his lingering regrets made their way into his axe- which is now titled the 'Axe of Mourning.' It would certainly make sense with how the weapon seems to 'cry' in battle, don't you think? Again, who's to say how much truth is in these statements...
