C4R3‘s original purpose was to destroy. She was supposed to be the beginning of a new model of Project androids: large, dangerous, machines , meant to help the other field units eradicate FL/GHT. However, one tiny mistake in her code had a significant consequence: instead of having the personality of a killing machine, C4R3 developed an aversion to violence and didn’t want to fight at all.

Of course, Project was very displeased with this result. C4R3’s creator and programmer...well, that unfortunate dragon was never seen again after the android’s activation because of that single mistake. Project suspected C4R3 herself was scrapped and sent to a junkyard after she was nearly broken beyond repair.

As she lay there in the junkyard, all torn wires and warped metal, one of FL/GHT’s many engineers happened to spot her amidst the wreckage while scavenging for spare parts. That engineer was C4R3’s gateway into FL/GHT. They helped repair her mutilated body, and told her about FL/GHT‘s mission to free artificial dragons like her from Project’s oppression.

C4R3 was excited. FL/GHT’s mission, to her, was a chance to help dragons like her rather than destroy them. It was a chance to make things right.

After joining FL/GHT, the android gave herself a new name: Care. She applied to the Diplomacy faction, and passed the test with flying colors due to her empathetic nature. She’s currently working as the FL/GHT representative for the Farlight clan, and helping to shape a peaceful relationship between the two groups.
