Jaime is considered to be Cupid by those he has met in Oceanside Port. He can be able to tell how much a dragon is in love based on the way they move and act around someone they love that isn't familial. He is able to detect familial love as well but that isn't as prominent as the relationship kind of love he is able to detect. Some say it's a gift to know who is in love with who and how much one loves the other.. Jaime just thinks it's normal to know since he grew up with it and met his wife who also had it. He enjoys it when Manelys comes to visit as it means he can bring her around town and have her meet everyone he has met.
Jaime has taken up the position of taking on caring any children they have within the town that doesn't want to follow their mother or go on lots of adventure. He provides all he knows of being the local Cupid while allowing his children to go on the path they choose to go on. He'll do what he can and more to protect them to the best of his ability and guiding them on the path of a life full of happiness, love, and contentment. Jaime knows he can't always protect his children so he'll give them as much space to figure things out on their own on most stuff.. Though they do go and ask him when they need to and to see if they can get help on stuff, but even so, they enjoy the talks. Jaime's first impressions of this little town was one of contempt. The first two dragons he met, he complemented the way things are run and the type of chemistry they have between the two. He knew that they weren't together but just the way they felt, to him at least, about each other in a family dynamic is such a good type of dynamic. Regardless, he doesn't want to delve into much of their relationship as it's their own business and he isn't one to meddle much between good chemistry. On occasion though, Jaime will talk to both when he notices something amiss between them and try to help in anyway he could. He's been able to help when they wanted it but it's only far and few when they need it. He doesn't mind that they will talk to him about certain things about their relationship and about the relationships around town. Though, Jaime will give short answers to the questions about other dragon's relationships as it's more personal and something that should between the dragons in town and himself. They respect that but hope that he'll slip up and give some drama one day. |

❃ Days Turn to Months ❃
"I really love how loving this town is. It honestly feels like home, what with all the sweet dragons and the rascals running around. When my love was here for a bit, I showed all the best spots in town to look over when I felt too overwhelmed with figuring how to help this town in my own way. Sure it wasn't long that she stayed but the kids we had while she was here went on their own way. One stayed here with me to learn more about what I do, one went with her to see our home clan, and one went adventuring outside the town. Granted, the children are their own dragon but I miss the two.. We do write when we can but most of the time it's just silence since we're super busy. Even so, hearing from them from time to time is always nice, especially from the children we've previously had and went about their own lives. We'll meet again someday."
"I really love the food that's been made by all the dragons here. Such diversity between all of them and complexity of spices and the way they were cooked! The food here surely is different than back home but it's a good different. Some of these dragons have a passion for cooking and will make potlucks every week to share all kinds of food they have made, give compliments and criticism, and tease within reason. They sure do love to joke about stuff and poke fun here and there about small things that don't have a meaningful impact. I really love how they interact with each other, to be honest. I don't see a lot of dragons have such a deep kinship with others in such a way. One of the dragons have such a nasty personality when it comes to another insulting their friends cooking, but I think that's just out of the goodness in their heart. Whenever these potlucks happen, I do tend to try and be at every single one to learn more about the food and what not." |
"All the elders here are so nice as well.. At least the ones that aren't super grumpy about everything. I get it though, I'd be grumpy too after living such a long life and settling down if I was as old as them. Although, I did see a smidge of kindness from them every once in a while. Mainly giving the children that run around sweets and waiting for their guardians sometimes. It's not often when that happens though. Sometimes I like to think they put up the grumpy façade for their own sake and let it slip when they can't hold it any longer. I might be the only one who thinks this besides the children that'll get the candy and waiting with. Even with the children trying to tell their guardians, they get dismissed unless the elders get caught doing so."

I think that's all children to be fair, they're just so sweet looking and then bam. Pranks galore and many times of running off to be in their own little world. I don't blame the guardians for trying their best to be honest. They want what's best for them and worry over every little scrape and bruise. I've always told them that it's ok and to let them be children. Guide them to what's right versus what's wrong but ultimately let them choose on what they want to do. It'll be the only way for them to learn really, letting them see what feels right to them."
