Possum

Possum:

It may seem strange to some, that a fish could be a loving member of a family, but it is true. Possum was an impulse adopt from a local pet store. They had named him Possum because every day someone would ask if he was dead. On September 30th 2019, Possum, the little betta fish, joined my family. I spent almost ever waking minute with him, trying, hoping and praying for him in Hope's he would get better. Unfortunately, on October 19th 2019, he passed away. Exactly 20 days after being adopted. He had a severe case of SBD (Swim Bladder Disease). Espom salt baths helped for ahike, but he soon became lethargic. Specialty food was ordered and fed to him, as well as medication. Despite all the effort and hard work, he was not strong enough to withstand treatment. I had told him goodnight and made sure he was in his favorite spot before I turned his tank light off. During his sleep, he had passed into open waters.

His memory will always swim in my heart. I hope he has clean, fresh water and is able to swim where ever his little heart desires and where ever his little brain can imagine. Let his swim be forever peaceful, filled with all the Mysis and Daphnia he could ever want.

In honor of his memory, Possum, A little fish with so much spink an attitude, he moved the hearts of many people in 20 days.
