Biography
![](/rendern/portraits/56068/5606736p.png)
3rd Member of the Elemental Guardians.
![Ice_zpsajjbjwug.png Ice_zpsajjbjwug.png](https://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag35/Miyuzaki1/Flight%20Rising/Ice_zpsajjbjwug.png)
Ice was not always his name. Originally hailing from the Southern Icefield, he was a proud Wildclaw who regularly protected the clan from intruders. He fought many duels because of his fierce sense of justice, but he loved his family dearly, especially the numerous hatchlings that were born or adopted to the clan.
One day, his mother woke up only to find that one of her own beloved hatchlings had been kidnapped. He swore to her that he would retrieve her child and went after the criminal. Fortunately, the hatchling fought her captor with all her might and slowed down the scoundrel enough that the Wildclaw could catch up to them. He challenged the kidnapper to a duel, confident in his ability to win and bring back the poor hatchling. The duel was long hard, both participants equally matched. The kidnapper, having grown desperate, fired a spell at the hatchling. The Wildclaw instantly leaped in front of the hatchling, taking the extreme electrical shock that surely would have killed the young dragon.
He lay on the ground, his body smoking slightly as his opponent stepped over him with a smirk. The hatchling cowered back, trying to curl herself into as small a ball as possible. Mustering the last of his strength, the Wildclaw bit deeply into the other dragon's leg and hurled them both off a cliff and into the Fortress of Ends. Magics deeply embedded into the ice instantly ensnared both of the trespassers, wrapping them in chains and drawing them through the surface of one of the nearby pillars. There they remained, locked together in combat, the magics set to hold them prisoner for all eternity.
This might have been his fate had there not been a series of mighty earthquakes many years later. Steadily, the quakes weakened the magics that preserved the ice until it shattered, releasing the prisoners within. The Wildclaw slowly emerged from his prison, his memories of those distant years completely gone. He was not unaffected by so long an imprisonment, as his body had already turned to ice. His fellow prisoner was not so lucky and had actually merged with the ice, shattering when it did. Perhaps his nature as an Ice dragon had protected him from such a fate.
He staggered away from the remains of his prison, gradually wandering farther and farther north with no memories to anchor him anywhere. Eventually, he wandered into the Shrieking Wilds, not even noticing that plants froze under his touch and ice spread from each footstep, coating the ground around him. Flame, the Guardian of Fire, tracked him easily and confronted him, challenging him to a duel over his flagrant use of nature-killing powers in her territory. A spark returned to his eye at the idea of a duel, and he fought her with a little of his old zeal.
She clearly outclassed him and soundly defeated him. He lay on the ground in a puddle of melting ice expecting death, his eyes screwed shut. He opened his eyes at a soft touch to his shoulder, only to see Flame offering him a hand. Warily, he took it and followed her to her clan. She introduced him to her clan members, and when he confessed to not remembering his name, she dubbed him as 'Ice.' For the next several weeks, he remained in the clan with Flame nearby to minimize the damage that his ice caused while he learned to rein in his powers. Eventually, he asked to stay for good. Flame accepted on the condition that he join the Elemental Guardians. He agreed, and has since become a beloved member of the clan, and is especially devoted to protecting hatchlings.
