I might not be caught up on the newer gens, but Cheren was my favorite rival of all the pokemon games I played. I guess I related to him a lot. Seeing him become a gym leader in the sequel was so, so satisfying.
I love the Marva eyes for those blue anime eyes - dare I say it was super effective? And the aviator scarf and underbelly work great together for his loose red tie! The touches of blue brought in by the tail bauble and wings are really nice too, hearkening to different parts of his outfit over the years - and those ultra-dark wing feathers also resemble his black bangs, especially with the pronged filigree guards on top of the wings as well. And I'm really fond of Ice as a color for him; yeah, his main color is white, but it's also a cool (heh) meta nod to his demeanor. Always love to see those cherished characters in other people's lairs!
