Gwynevere

Most of the Plaguebringer's devout followers are exalted dragons. They wander the world, spreading disease and seeking whatever vile fruit, toxic toadstool or decaying carrion the Plaguebringer requires for her next epidemic. Gwynevere loves the Plaguebringer's above all else. She would rather bask in rot and filth than warm sunshine; a fish is not ripe until it has more maggots than bones. As a young dragon, she would purposely expose herself to the vapors rising from the Wyrmwound to test her faith. She would let the sickness overwhelm her, only to become stronger through the suffering.

And yet, she never once desired to become on of the Plaguebringer's exalted followers. She has a greater purpose in this world. Her devotion transcends above merely serving the Plaguebringer. She doesn't want to spread contagion; she wishes to create it. Gwynevere believes that the only way to earn the notice and admiration of her beloved goddess is to surpass the deity herself. She scours the Wasteland, seeking the bones of fallen dragons and pustules in the soil. She extracts marrow and muck to create her own virulent mixtures. She has yet to achieve more than a high fever and nausea from her concoctions. Every experiment becomes more and more potent. She works tirelessly to create a virus that will do the one thing she knows will earn her the prestige of the Plaguebringer: infecting every root, branch, and leaf of the Viridian Labyrinth.
